Phase 2 of the landscaping works for this new modern detached house in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire. The existing patio was uneven and not big enough to accommodate a table and chairs comfortably. So, we created a larger patio area, with a flower border and trellis screen to hide the more functional area of the garden i.e. the shed and greenhouse. Our in-house landscape designer chose to use light coloured slabs to create a warm feeling to the sitting area, finishing the leading edge with a hexagonal shape where the patio meets the lawn. This project is proof that a design does not have to be over-the-top fancy to create a stunning effect.
The new patio area allows our clients to sit comfortably around a table and chairs, even when entertaining guests. The buff colour of the pointing for the entire patio area compliments the slabs, creating a modern, sleek appearance. Our clients are very happy with the finished patio area, and so are we.
