Julian Barclay · Aberdeenshire

Timber & Driveway Gates in Aberdeenshire

Made-to-measure and standard timber gates for gardens, driveways and fields across Aberdeenshire, supplied and installed by Julian Barclay.

A gate made for the opening

We supply and install garden, pedestrian, driveway and field gates. Bespoke timber gates can be designed for the width, height and appearance you need, while standard options may suit simpler openings.

Posts and fittings planned together

A good installation includes suitable supporting posts, hinges, latches and clearances. We discuss how the gate will open, surrounding ground levels and everyday access before agreeing the details.

Combine gates with new fencing

A gate can be a standalone improvement or part of a complete boundary replacement. Send us photographs and approximate opening dimensions so we can advise on the next step.

Choose a gate for the way you use it

Garden gates: everyday pedestrian access, with a style that complements the fence.
Driveway gates: a welcoming entrance with suitable width, clearance and supporting posts.
Field gates: practical access to paddocks and working land.
Made-to-measure timber gates: dimensions and appearance planned around the opening.

Think about which way the gate will open, whether the ground slopes and what must pass through it. We assess these details before agreeing posts and fittings.

Browse our timber gate project photographs for ideas, from garden entrances to wider openings. A new gate can also be included in a garden fencing installation or paddock fencing project.
